Our Goals
School
Teaching students and staff how, when, and what to recycle as well as providing recycling pick ups.
Community
Participating in and leading projects for the betterment of the community.
Awareness
Educating friends, families, and neighbors about the climate crisis and the plastic problem.
Action
Using teamwork to problem solve and create change in our community.
Currently, LEAP is accepting applications for the new school year. At the beginning of October we will start conducting recycling pickups around the school and having meetings every week in our sponsor’s classroom. This year we are working on a series of community projects. Welcome to our website!
Period Project
A project devoted to providing Hamtramck High School bathrooms with eco-friendly, fully-biodegradable pads and tampons for students to take as they need.
